Malaga is the capital city of the Costa del Sol and is situated right on the beach with easy access to many popular tourist spots. With a minimum temperature of 13 °C in the winter months you can enjoy blue skies nearly all year round.

Places recommended to see are the Baroque Cathedral, commonly known as ‘La Manquita', as it is missing its east tower. To get a full view of the city you must go to the Parador - 5 star hotel- with great historical importance, built on a Moorish castle with panoramic views.

You can also visit the Moorish Alcazaba fortress, dating back to 1065 when Malaga was occupied by the moors.

Spend an afternoon shopping in many of the inner city streets for all kind of traditional or modern articles or sit at a sunny terrace watching the people and soak up the atmosphere.

There are also many churches in and around the centre of great architectural and historic interest which are well worth visiting.
